Our Carlsbad surf camp, surf lessons, and surfboard / bodyboard rentals are located at North Carlsbad State Beach. We are fully staffed in Carlsbad from 9:30 AM – 6 PM Mon. – Fri. starting March 20th. Please contact us for weekend surf lessons. Please click here for directions.

SoCal Surf Lessons, the premiere surf school in the Southern California, offers private lessons, group surf lessons, and surf camps on the best beginner waves in San Diego. We specialize in teaching all levels of surfing from first timers to advanced surfers. Our instructors are experienced surfers, trained in first-aid and CPR, and are life-long residents of Carlsbad. Many of our instructors grew up surfing in Carlsbad and offer unparalleled local knowledge. We also have top professional surfers Che Stang and Rusty Friesen giving daily lessons. Students will learn basic surfing fundamentals, as well as ocean awareness, water safety, wave riding skills, and surf etiquette.
